Born in an orthodox Vishwakarma household, Pavitra grew up in a tradition that kept Dharmagurus and the Elderly of the community in high regard, besides serving the needy of the society. She picked up a flair for music at an early age, which went on to become a lifetime fascination, as she regularly chanted the hymns for hours together along with the senior members of her family on the temple premises.
